Alexis Sanchez has been an utter flop since his arrival big-money arrival from Arsenal during January 2018. Despite being the highest paid player at Old Trafford, the South American went on to score just one goal and provide three assists from 20 Premier League games last season.
Reports are now rife that one of Ole Gunner Solksjaer’s main aims this summer will be to offload Sanchez, whom Atletico Madrid and Juventus are reportedly interesting in signing. This would not only lighten up the wage bill, but would also help bring balance to a dressing room which needs a deep overhaul.
However, if United are able to part ways with the 30-year-old, they must also look for a quality player to serve as Sanchez’s replacement and to create and score goals for the club next season. The following are two young players who could certainly light up the United squad in his place:
The Brazilian, who scored 13 goals in the Premier League this past season, was one of Everton’s most important players. He even managed to win himself inclusion into the Brazil team due to his displays for the Toffees. Richarlison has vastly improved this season, creating and scoring more goals whilst becoming a key component for Marco Silva’s men. He is definitely a player who is worthy of playing in the Champions League and is someone who is capable of adding plenty of value to the Red Devils front-line.
The Mexican. who has long been linked with a move to United. was once again impressive in the Dutch Eredivisie this past season as he went on to score 17 goals from 30 appearances, and also provided eight assists. He also bagged an impressive four goals in the Champions League, where PSV crashed out in the group stages.
Lozano has good pace and power. and at just 23-years-old, he still has the ability to make a lot of improvement to his game and blossom into a world-class talent. He has the ability to terrorize defences and has shown the ingredients which are required to succeed in the Premier League. He could well be an upgrade on Sanchez and flourish at Old Trafford.
