Chelsea striker Eden Hazard has claimed that he has already made a decision on his future.
The future of the Belgian is currently one of the most talked about things in world football. The player has established himself as one of the best play-makers in world football, and has been strongly linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants reportedly see Hazard as the perfect replacement to Cristiano Ronaldo, who left the club to join Italian outfit Juventus last summer, where Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey will be joining him.
Hazard has yet to agree to a fresh contract with Chelsea, with his current deal set to expire during the summer of 2020. Maurizio Sarri’s club will have to sell him during the summer transfer window or they will either risk losing him cheaply next season or for free at the end of the following campaign.
While speaking about his future, Hazard told RMC, as quoted by Sportsbible: “I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision.”
If Hazard does depart Stamford Bridge, it will be a huge blow for the Blues. Since arriving at the club in 2012, he has been one of their key players and has been arguably the best player in the club during the past five years.
So far Hazard has helped the Blues to win three Premier League titles. The one trophy which the Blues have struggled to launch a credible challenge for during that time, however is the Champions League.
This is surely something that must be weighing on Hazard’s mind. By joining Madrid, he would be joining a side which has won the last three Champions League title and which regularly challenges for major silverware.
Chelsea have also struggled for consistency during recent years, having failed to secure Champions League qualification twice during the past three seasons. At this time, it does not look likely that Hazard will remain at Chelsea.
