Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia has seemingly hinted that he will be leaving the club this summer. The Ecuadorian winger took to social media platform Instagram and posted a picture of the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand at Old Trafford with the words “Thank you”.
The 33-year-old has slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford this season and has made just five Premier League appearances to date. In spite of what is happening at the moment, he is still good enough to play at the highest level for another club and a transfer will be the best thing to happen for both club and player.
Valencia is a long-serving player of United, having joined the club in 2009 from Wigan Athletic. He was originally brought in as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Real Madrid during the summer of 2009. Since arriving at United, Valencia has gone on to play 338 times in all competitions for the club, scoring 25 goals.

The veteran has won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups and one Europa League. Valencia continues to play for the Ecuador national team and currently boasts a record of 94 appearances and 11 goals for his country.
Manchester United clearly need a squad revamp this summer if they want to challenge for major silverware next season. There are deep flaws in the current squad, which were shown during their 0-4 thrashing at the hands of Everton on Sunday. Other players who could leave the squad include Marcus Rojo, Matteo Darmian and Alexis Sanchez. The futures of Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku are also the subject of speculation.
Rashford and Mata are both being linked with a move to Barcelona. Pogba is being linked with Real Madrid while Lukaku is being linked with Juventus.
