For several months now, Spurs fans have voiced their displeasure in right-back Kieran Trippier. After raising the roof on the whole country after scoring a sublime free-kick against Croatia in the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup, has time run out for the England full-back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has certainly made all the highlights across London this season, following his majorly impressive campaign for Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace. After claiming Palace’s Player of the Season award, in front of Wilfred Zaha and Luke Milivojevic, interest looks likely to be certain in the Summer after Manchester United were already rumoured to sign the 21-year old.
From many examples from throughout the 2018/19 Premier League campaign, Wan-Bissaka looks certain to be a future England International with his lightning pass and great ability to cross the ball from the right-hand side. Is this what England and Spurs are missing? He has also been leading a number of leaderboards across the whole division including top rankings in: Most Tackles Won (87), Most Interceptions (82) and Successful take-ons (60). This has also lead Palace to a solid mid-table position and would be key in their venture to try and finish in the top ten next year.
After coming through the youth ranks at Palace, the Croydon-born defender signed his first professional contract with The Eagles just a couple of years ago and now could be on the verge to a huge move across the country.
Everton have also expressed a keen interest in the youngster, with offers set to be made over the coming months. But surely, this could be a grand opportunity for Spurs to solve one of their worries if they are to push on next season.
