Internet personalities KSI and Logan Paul competed in a white-collar boxing match last August at the Manchester Arena, billed as the biggest YouTube event in history. Despite immediate talk of a rematch following their controversial draw, no concrete plans for a second bout have been made public.
Following the conclusion of their fight, two judges declared the contest 58-58. Another scored it at 58-57 to KSI. A majority draw was the result. Both YouTubers, however, feel that they should have been adjudged to have won the bout.
Both fighters provisionally agreed to a rematch in the US in February when the contract for the first bout was signed. Logan was initially interested in a one-off fight in a neutral venue such as Dubai.
However, a rematch in February now looks highly improbable, and both stars have publicly slammed each other for delaying proceedings for the second fight.
KSI published a video last week where he seemingly put paid to a rematch happening in February. The British YouTuber, known for his music, boxing, comedy and gaming content, hinted that he will take a break from boxing.
In the video, he suggested that he would be open to a rematch in November of this year.
Both men are known for being boastful and it is likely that a rematch will eventually happen to determine who gets the bragging rights. Expect the big fight to happen in the US later this year.
